The Megillah is titled masked
I was in the mood of another project
I was thinking of painting a Megillah
But how? When? Where?
It’s such a humongous undertaking
I didn’t know if I could express all that there is in the story
I called my teacher from high school and asked her can you please Re teach me the Megillah story?
I remember leaving your class so incredibly inspired!
She led me to the book let my nation live
I read it twice and got to work
I put color on the canvas and before my eyes paintings came alive!
Esther’s strength is so exhilarating
Strong silent strength
The entire Megillah is masked
Haman plotting to kill the Jews is behind the scenes
Hashem doesn’t reveal his name
Esther doesn’t reveal her identity
Jewish women are the power behind the scenes
Running our homes
Raising our children

The megilllah is about a women
For women
